RIBS AND WINGS ORIENTAL


Ingredients:

1-1/2 cups soy sauce
1-1/2 cups brown sugar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 kg MAGNOLIA CHICKEN STATION WINGS, cut each wing into 2 through the joints
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 pc ginger, sliced into strips
1 kg MONTEREY PORK RIBS, chopped lengthwise
2 cups water
1/4 cup sesame seeds
chopped green onions

Procedure:

  1. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar and sesame oil in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2.  Put oil in a skillet and pan fry chicken wings and set aside. In the same pan, sauté garlic and ginger then add ribs. Cook until ribs turn white. Pour soy sauce mixture and water. Cover pan and let simmer until ribs are tender, turning the meat occasionally until sauce coats all meat pieces. Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup water if sauce thickens quickly.
  3. When ribs are cooked, mix chicken and let simmer until all meat pieces are tender and sauce thickens. Pour half of sesame seeds and stir.
  4. Top with remaining sesame seeds and green onions.
Makes 6-8 servings.
